Tover, Jeffrey

Jeffrey Tover is an award-winning Bay Area based abstract painter that lives in the historic town of Benicia just outside of San Francisco. He is also an avid photographer that enjoys taking pictures of his travels to Europe, Asia and Australia. His paintings are often influenced by these pursuits. Taking inspiration from Cy Twombly, Joan Mitchell and Willem DeKooning, Jeff produces works full of colorful gestures and marks. His motivation is to create work that is never boring and will keep the viewer engaged long after it is hung on a wall. His work has caught the eye of international and commercial collectors and has exhibited in numerous galleries across the country.
“…my paintings are as unique as each person walking the earth. they are meant to invoke their own persona and therefore influence the viewer in different ways. I paint without fear and without intention. I wish to explore the possibilities and be open to the dialogue that presents itself between the creator and its creation..”
