Anne Becker is a working artist in Salt Lake City, UT. She enjoys painting the incredible landscapes in Utah, but is also drawn to nonobjective abstract painting. Anne used to try and choose between the two wondering if she should be a landscape artist or an abstract artist, but finally came to the conclusion that it is color, shape and design that excite her the most, regardless of subject. Anne’s process with either a landscape or an abstract is to act and react to each shape or mark until she feels there is a balanced and beautiful relationship between all of the elements.
Anne Becker has a degree in painting and drawing from the University of Utah. She stays connected and involved with the local art community and recently started an outdoor painting group in Salt Lake City.
